Elementary Teachers:
- must have bachelor's degree
- must have Class A Education License
- must teach in a grade covered by license
Middle/High School Teachers: (reading, English, language, arts, math, science, foreign language, civics, government, economics, arts, history or geograph)
- must have bachelor's degree
- must have Class A Education License with an endorsement for every academic subject taught
How Do I Obtain an Endorsement?
- pass Praxis II OR
- become National Board Certified in each academic subject taught OR
- have Master's degree in each of the academic subjects taught OR
- for grade 5-8, acquire continuing education units (CEU) through the MS Dept. of Educations's Middle School Institute OR
- take additional college hours to fulfill content requirement for major-21 hours
